At Polk K-12 Consulting, we want to help school districts work like successful businesses.  We'll work with the district leadership team to develop a customized solution based on business best practices.  Our activities include:

  • Introductory Meeting

    This meeting is a preliminary discussion of the district vision and goals which will sets the stage for future activities.
  • Process Improvement Review

    This is the core of our engagement.  This phase includes:

    • The pre-assessment of the district and community
    • The analysis phase to identify challenges and opportunities
    • The solutions phase for development of recommendations, the change management process, and the community engagement and communications plan.

    Presentation of findings and updates will be made to the board, educators, and the community throughout the process.

  • Process Implementation Project Management

    With approval to proceed, the project team (board members, educators, community members and Polk K-12 Consulting) will work together to implement recommendations.
  • Community Involvement/Communications Plans

    A comprehensive plan to achieve long term community engagement and participation will be part of the recommendations.
  • Annual Operations Process Study

    To ensure the recommendations are implemented effectively, monitor success and make necessary adjustments, an ongoing annual process improvement review will be completed. 
  • Leadership Mentoring and Professional Development

    We'll bring in tested proven administrators for input and review of our findings.  We'll also line up experienced mentors who can provide valuable hands-on coaching from a broad perspective.
  • Project Management

    We'll involve experienced project managers with proven track records to move the project toward successful implementation.
  • Ongoing Support

    We'll be involved for the long haul.  With our annual review process and follow up model, we'll make sure we're available when you need us.
